AFW Gower Peninsula
The Gower Peninsula is a place of outstanding natural beauty. Located near to the City of Swansea, this area is a diverse landscape of golden sandy beaches, cliff top paths, salt marshes and dramatic headlands full of wildlife. Worms Head is a famous symbol and Rhossili Bay is one of the best loved beaches in Britain. The rugged splendour of Three Cliffs Bay draws in many visitors. Dylan Thomas was inspired by the Gower and literature lovers can explore his legacy.
A group of British and French randonneurs explored most of the coast from our base at Singleton campus, Swansea University; westward through Three Cliffs Bay, Oxwich Bay, Port Eynon, Worms Head, Rhossili and the estuary at Whitford Sands.
