Casablanca
The Hassan II Mosque is the most worthwhile attraction in Casablanca, which is mainly known as the commercial capital of Morocco.

It stands on a rocky platform adjoining the Atlantic Ocean and was designed by French architect Michel Pinseau, to commemorate the former King’s 60th birthday and to give Casablanca an iconic building for all time. The Hassan II Mosque is one of the very few Islamic religious buildings open to non-Muslims. To see the interior you must take a guided tour, which I do recommend. Visitors must be decently and respectfully dressed and once inside, you will be asked to remove your shoes. The construction and sumptuous interior includes marble from Agadir, cedar from the Middle Atlas, granite from Tafraoute, and glass for the windows and chandeliers imported from Murano in Venice. A one hour guided tour includes the prayer hall, ablution rooms and basement hammam with pool.
